Wrong Fuel In Van Glasgow – FIXED!!
One from the other day, a ford transit van filled with 30 litres of petrol and driven until it started to come to a stop, the customer managed to get it to the nearest petrol station and then brimmed it with diesel, the tank was around 50% diesel 50% petrol and of course it then wouldn’t start. DID YOU KNOW!! That anything from and above 0-10% of the size of your tank filled with the wrong fuel is a dangerous mixture top up with !? A lot of our customer call us for advice and then proceed to top up and drive off, we then hear back from them a short while later saying they need our assistance… DONT be caught out, having it drained before you move will limit any potential damage that can be caused!
As it wouldn’t start he called us out, we arrived after 30minutes and drained and flushed the system out and got the van restarted.
